RFID applied on CC Containers
The RFID* technology, which from January 10, 2011, will be affixed to the complete fleet of 3.5 million CC Containers, is compliant with the worldwide EPC Global standard - the applied standard for retailers. The tag that will be affixed to the CC Container is a so-called passive tag.
An RFID gate or handheld scanner can be used to read the unique identification code from the RFID tag on the CC Container.
By using this website you can keep yourself informed about the progress of the RFID implementation in the horticultural industry. Well in advance of the implementation date, all CC Container customers will be contacted and instructed about what to do.
