All CC Containers will be RFID tagged!

The RFID partners

For a number of years, FloraHolland, Landgard, Gasa Group, VGB, and Container Centralen have worked together to find the best way to implement RFID in the horticultural industry.

The decision to tag the 3.5 million CC Containers in circulation in Europe with RFID chips is the result of this co-operation. This major undertaking will be managed by Container Centralen A/S, and supported by the other partners in the industry.

The aim of implementing RFID is to improve efficiency of logistics for the entire horticultural industry. Together the five partners have agreed upon a set of common objectives for the project, which focuses on:

  • Timing
  • Quality
  • Cost Savings
  • Mutual Obligations

The intention with this unique partnership is to efficiently deliver the RFID solution to all players in the horticultural supply chain.
