Container Centralen

Tonny Vangsgaard Gravesen

After conducting extensive research of RFID technology throughout the past years, we have come to the conclusion that an RFID project is of vital importance for both our - and our customers’ - logistics as suppliers to the wholesale and retail trade.

"We were happy to discover that our partners in this project had the same views on the future and RFID. Our overall common aims are to obtain higher efficiency and cost reductions in operations; improve control of the CC Containers circulating in the CC Pool System, and satisfying the future demands of the retailers.

The CC Container bases for potted plants exclusively manufactured for and distributed by Container Centralen A/S, are the first items to be RFID tagged. The parties in the project have agreed not to accept the use and distribution of CC Containers or CC identical equipment without the exclusive and original RFID tag.

This common approach will exclude low-quality copies from the pool and lead to a higher quality and efficiency in daily operations for the approx. 80,000 users of the CC Pool System."
