Landgard is Germany’s leading marketing organisation in horticultural business and has participated in the RFID project since the beginning of 2004.

"Landgard provides specialist traders with various options and solutions for buying flowers and plants, and intends to use the benefits RFID technology offers especially in accounting and booking processes. We look forward to reduce losses of Returnable Transport Items (RTI’s) such as CC-Containers, and we are certain that RFID will help us to increase the security in data management in inbound as well as outbound processes.

For internal logistics it will be valuable to couple article data and quantities with RTI-ID’s registered on the RFID-tag. Therefore Landgard will be able to manage not only transport but also product information on their way through the distribution centre.

Landgard realized that optimum performance in data management of RTI’s, leads to increased business success for our 3.000 suppliers and more than 50.000 clients. In detail the implementation of RFID technology at Landgard will involve minimization of booking errors and cost reduction in the next years, as well as enhancement of data flow for all shipping processes.
